Do you have any skincare or self-care rituals you never skip?
I'm 100% on board with my skincare routine - which shocks absolutely no one, right?I think I used to be SO good at prioritizing self-care time, but then I had a kid. Age old story, right? So now I do the "nap when he naps" thing, but also, I really lean hard into my Carry My Bags eye gels (ALWAYS from the fridge, so we amp up that depuffing!) and my meditation and naps. I've also been making myself a ginger/lemon/cayenne water every night as a cozy winter warm up!
What's your morning skincare routine?
I use Tone//Refine to clean off any night sweat - because I am THAT age...and Treat//HA&Beta G cocktailed with Treat//VitC + Peptide, followed by Eye // Lift or a new(SHHH!) eye cream formula I'm testing right now - and lastly, of course, Scinic SPF 50
What is your evening skincare routine?
I use micellar water to remove my eye makeup then Cleanse // Cream (Winter) or Cleanse // Gel (Summer) massaged into my skin for 90 seconds Rinse, then Tone//Refine. I alternate my serums and treatments - L-Mandelic 5%, or Glycolic Retinol pads. I also alternate my moisturizers - Hydrate V2(adaptogenic) and Peptide depending on how my skin feels.
What’s your go-to product or treatment that you swear by?
This is like asking me which child I like best?! How is this fair? :) Product: Eye//LIft, and HA+BetaG. Both are non-negotiables in my routine. Also, SPF every single day. I don't care if I'm in a dark room all day...walking to and from my car is not going to age this gal - I won't allow it :) Treatment? RezSignature with a Dermablade. Its so good - smooths, plumps, hydrates...gets rid of my beard...I mean peach fuzz....
Do you have a favorite beauty hack or secret?
I always keep our Carry My Bags eye gels in the fridge and put them on while I'm drinking coffee in the AM. Also - and I learned this from a client/friend, so I need to give her a wink - dry shampoo in my hair at NIGHT, and a little tiny bit of hair oil on the ends at NIGHT...wake up and just give it a brush. Game changer.
What’s one common misconception about lash or skin treatments that you’d like to clear up?
Lashes - that they make your natural lashes fall out. If you your technician is doing their job right, and you're following the directions they give, you should have no damage to your natural lashes. Period.
Skin Treatments - that one facial will change your skin forever. Listen, As much as I'd love that for you, it's just not realistic. Our skin changes daily based on what we eat and drink, how we feel, etc. So your care for your skin at home is just as important as what we do in Spa. Think of it like homecare (healthy diet) and facials (gym time with your trainer) - they go hand in hand for perfecting your glow over time.
What is your advice for someone looking to get lash extensions?
Come see Heidi! She genuinely cares about your lash and eye health and is a true artist. She can make eyes look bigger, more open, more cateye...she is so good at what she does!
What’s your favorite way to relax or pamper yourself on a day off?
Read, sing karaoke, paint
What's your favorite product we DON'T sell?
Odele Dry Shampoo and Kenra Platinum Hot Spray 20 (if you want this, let me know I'll pick some up at the supply store for you - its SO good for hair that won't hold a curl)
What’s your favorite spa treatment to get as a client?
Dysport, RezSignature Facials, Sauna time, Teeth Whitening, Hydrid Lash Extensions....Can I keep going? We don't offer anything I don't love, but those are my favorites I think...wait...I forgot Lash Tint. OMG when I don't have extensions, a tint is so good for days I don't wear makeup
