Do you have any skincare or self-care rituals you never skip?
Always cleanse makeup off, I love a double cleanse when I wear a full face of makeup!
Whats your morning skincare routine?
First I start with cleanse//gel, making sure to massage that in for at least 2 minutes. Then I'll go in with my tone // balance on a cotton pad (I use a cotton pad because of my lash extensions. (Thanks Heidi!)) Next in my routine is HA+BG for my serum, occasionally I also use the Vitamin C serum to help brighten my skin. For my moisturizer I always use moisturize v2, and finally - never forget SPF!
What is your evening skincare routine?
First I'll start with cleanse//gel, I usually double cleanse at the end of the day, even if I'm not wearing makeup. After cleansing I always go in with my tone // balance (still using the cotton pad). Next up is mandelic acid, which is a great chemical exfoliant. If I'm feeling any dehydration I will use my H/A+ BG again. Finally finishing my routine with moisturize v2.
What’s your go-to product or treatment that you swear by?
Chemical peels! I promise they don't hurt as much as everyone makes it seem. Chemical peels can help with many skin conditions, such as; hyperpigmentation, fine lines, acne, acne scarring, and more!
Do you have a favorite beauty hack or secret?
Double cleanse, especially if you're wearing any makeup or products. The first cleanse is essentially removing anything off of your skin (makeup, dirt, debris from the day) while the second cleanse is really getting into the skin and cleaning out those pores.
What’s one common misconception about lash or skin treatments that you’d like to clear up?
I often hear "I don't need SPF if I'm staying in the house all day" which is actually false! While in the house or even your car, our windows ony block the burning rays, not the aging rays, so the sun is making contact with your skin causing sun damage if we are not wearing SPF.
What is your advice for someone looking to get lash extensions?
I'm obsessed with my lash extensions. It's so easy to just jump out of bed in the morning and look put together... at least somewhat haha!
What’s your favorite way to relax or pamper yourself on a day off?
face mask, maybe a dermablade, and a glass of wine! My favorite way to pamper myself is with a face mask, usually (Don't) Face It by ABA, since I tend to struggle with dehydration. If it is time for a dermablade I LOVE to add that in. After I finish dermablading I'll put on my favorite TV show, (usually something like Criminal Minds, Law & Order SVU, or a "relaxing" show like that.) and maybe sip on a glass of wine!
What’s your favorite spa treatment to get as a client?
That's a hard one, I think I would say I have two. First would be the Rezenerate facial- mostly because it is relaxing, feels good, I get to chat with my esthi (if that's what you're into, if not we can just relax) and can see a change in my skin once it is finished. Second would be lash extensions. I love a lash extension appointment because it is 1 hour and 45 mins of pure relaxation and unplugging. That means no phone calls, texts, emails, or anything!
